About two months back I switched from Windows 8.1 to 10 on my gaming rig and kept everything safe. I also own another laptop that was once my gaming machine, plus a school computer where I still run 8.1. I’m considering moving to Windows 10 and want to know if there’s a clean installation option. Can I also wipe all drives during the upgrade? Will the clean install remove my registry entries even after deleting games on other drives? I’ll just reformat the SSDs and HDDs too. I only need to transfer a few files to a USB drive. Let me know if you have any more questions before I proceed! Thanks in advance!

I just performed a fresh setup for Windows 10 after using an upgraded version of Win 7 Pro 64 bit for months. This confirms I have Windows 10 Pro 64 bit installed. The clean install works much better than the previous one. Think about booting with UEFI during installation. This link provides a fresh install since you already have Windows 10. Click upgrade this PC now. It offers several options—save your files, settings, or nothing. You won’t need to use an .iso DVD or USB drive for this approach. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windo...ol-install
