Apply thermal paste correctly for optimal performance.
I’m just starting out with building, so let’s keep it simple. The thermal paste spreader from Arctic seems adequate for most projects. If you notice issues, adjust accordingly.
Place the cooler to observe its spreading under pressure, but it seems sufficient on its own. A useful reminder for later: you usually don’t need to spread thermal paste on a desktop CPU—its own pressure should do the job. This isn’t an error, but you might omit that step next time.
