Apply PBO, AutoOC, Curve Optimizer, and VDD telemetry offset for the Ryzen 5600x.
Motherboard Name: MSI B550-A Pro CPU Model: HexaCore AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, 4850 MHz (48.5 x 100) DDR4: Klevv Bolt X @ 3800Mhz I've added Cinebench R15, R20, and R23 results – mainly multi-core since I can't be asked to endure anything beyond R15's SC test. My MC boost stayed between 4.75GHz and 4.775GHz (peak at 4.75GHz) even after 10 minutes on R23. SC was locked at 4.85GHz. Benchmark scores are generally high for multi-core, but I stick to R15's standard test. CPU performance is solid across the board. Included CPU-Z benchmarks, though not very detailed. The settings default to PBO and AutoOC configurations: PBO - Advanced PBO Limits - Manual (PPT 500W, TDC 200A, EDC 220A) PBO Scalar - Auto Curve Optimizer - negative 30 (all cores) Max Boost Clock Override - 200MHz Thermal Throttle Limit - CPU VDD_SoC Current Optimization: Custom Setting CPU VDD Full Scale Current: 220A. Benchmark telemetry: - CPU VDD Full Scale Current: 30mV - EDC offset: auto - My temperatures max out around 73°C, but I'm using a H150i Elite Kapellix 360mm AIO. For VDD_SoC and PBO limits, exceeding 220A produced poor results. Overall performance was consistent; I minimized background tasks to keep usage under 2%. Any reading above 30mV for VDD telemetry gave negative outcomes. To be fair, I also performed a manual OC at 4.75GHz across all cores with 1.362v average. Cinebench R23 scores were slightly higher (MC 12366–12378) compared to previous methods, but temperatures neared 80°C. For my setup, manual OC remains more reliable, offering better thermal management and speed gains—especially for NVME and SATA SSD speeds. Ideal temps I’m comfortable with: 4.80GHz manual OC LLC – Mode 1 Override at 1.30V (no offset). No VDD telemetry needed. RAM timings shifted: tRFC from 494 to 532, VSOC from 12 to 10V. TEMPS dropped to 68–70°C (about 4–6°C lower depending on time). Best Cinebench MC results: R15 – 2091, R20 – 4839, R23 – 12502, 12 502. Update note: For reference, I compared manual OC to performance tests and found it more stable, with improved thermal efficiency and overall speed—particularly noticeable in NVME and storage throughput.
Your readings seem consistent with normal performance after optimization. The drop from 137 to 147 watts under PBO suggests minor inefficiencies, possibly due to voltage adjustments or sensor calibration. It’s unlikely a faulty measurement, but double-checking hardware specs and ensuring proper voltage settings would help confirm.
