I haven't seen much of this news recently. From what I know, Android updates often simplify features and mechanics, making them quite different from previous versions. This seems to be true for the Civ6 Android release as well.

It's just as probable they'll be moved to macOS originally... the games we have now probably won't be rebuilt just for Apple chips unless they're open-source, but upcoming titles aiming for Apple hardware should be ready soon.
