I believe that's correct—it's a discussion forum.

I really enjoy OS X. I intend to create a hackintosh this summer and will begin a build thread once I have the opportunity.

OSX works well for editing tasks like videos, but the hardware support is lacking, especially for newer Macs. The prices are high, around £900 for a screen, which feels excessive. I appreciate the display quality, but gaming content would be impractical for me. I think Linus hasn’t created one since most features cater to gamers, and Macs aren’t really needed for that purpose. Unless games become more mainstream on Apple, I doubt we’ll see another from Linus anytime soon. A Mac running Linux could be interesting, but personally it wouldn’t suit my needs.

I really feel the same as Linus about OS X—it’s quite the opposite of what I’m used to. It doesn’t fit naturally in my mind, which is shaped by Windows’ experience. Tasks that work quickly on Windows can take a long time to grasp in OS X. I get why they say it’s more user-friendly, but honestly, it just doesn’t click for me Big Grin

I enjoy using my Mac for gaming—it's quite good. I can't play the newest AAA games, but the ones I like work fine. In general, I favor macOS over Windows. It's just a personal choice. They're really expensive, but I think it's worth it.

Mac is mainly marketed as a 'design' machine, yet it still offers some nostalgic games such as Borderlands and Call of Duty. Although Apple's hardware can feel outdated, people still add peripherals like Thunderbolt eGPUs to boost gaming performance and overall speed. Many serious Windows users are aware that Bootcamp is available. Installing Windows 10 and connecting an eGPU makes it even more powerful. The dual-boot setup is impressive. The cost is reasonable for the quality of build. While Macs may lag behind modern PCs in performance, they maintain their value well and look appealing. The software experience also adds to the overall satisfaction.
