Apple music is a buggy mess
I’m a big early adopter. I always approach new software and hardware with an open mind. I’ve joined the Windows 10 beta and am currently involved in the iOS 9 beta on my iPad Air 2. I’m accustomed to those platforms having some issues. Apple music isn’t a beta, though. My problems so far include: songs saved to my library failing to save or sync, third-party playlists disappearing and re-downloading without reason when saved offline, and the general UI feeling disorganized. (Why are individual tracks prioritized over playlists in the 'My Music' section? Why are there two tabs for Apple Music Store—one for you and another for new? Why is this the first tab when opening the app?) Today made things worse. My playlist called "Bryant" hadn’t been edited at all and was simply removed from offline play for an unclear reason. Just to be clear, I’m a fan of Apple. I own an iPhone 6, iPad Air 2, and an Apple Watch. I’m really disappointed.
Generally, their equipment is outstanding and most of their programs perform well. However, the quality assurance process has deteriorated significantly after Jobs passed away. Examining his biography reveals that perfection was essential; otherwise, he would have completely blocked releases, no matter shareholder opinions. Cook lacks the intensity of Jobs. I question whether few executives possess such determination.
