Just to keep you informed... After executing the commands Master D recommended, I retraced the steps I initially aimed to complete. No errors occurred, and everything installed smoothly. That issue is now fixed—thank you very much! It’s a bit ironic that I’m writing this after a fresh PopOS install. I had to force the AMDGPU to bypass the Radeon driver (per another site’s suggestion) and after rebooting, I saw a black screen. Whoops—I ran out of storage space for a fix too. Anyway, the positive part was realizing I successfully reinstalled the OS, restored it to its previous state, and set permissions all within two hours instead of three days as before. Progress!
