Hi everyone, I'm trying to upgrade my system from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. The main issue is that the Windows 10 installer isn't showing up online. I thought updating would fix it, but since my updates stopped working after January and I disabled them, I'm stuck. I've downloaded the updates but they just download without installing. There are 11 optional and 66 important updates, yet none appear to install properly. My C drive has space, so it's not the storage issue. I've tried running them separately without success. Do you have another method to complete the upgrade? My original Windows 8.1 is still valid, and I have the key if that helps. Thanks!

I saved it, but the installation didn’t go through. Trying again, it’s asking to download Windows 10 once more and I’m not sure if this will happen or not since it didn’t explain why. My Australian connection isn’t reliable, so I’m worried about downloading it multiple times without success.

I’m going to confirm. Or here’s an alternative: launch the windows update, type wuauclt.exe /updatenow, search for updates in the Windows updater, and press enter while it runs. The installation should proceed and your system should update.

Downloaded the installation successfully but it crashed during setup. I restarted and it failed again, then rolled back the changes. Now I’m back to where I was when I couldn’t install Windows updates at all.

You've just managed to get the Windows 10 app, but you're still having trouble installing updates. It's frustrating since you've tried several times over the past eight months without success. You're wondering when this will work and whether it will actually install properly or just fail again.
