App fails to connect with display device
I just acquired an MSI MAG 275CQRF-QD and attempted to link it to my PC using the provided type B to A cable. However, the computer frequently displays a "device safe to remove" warning and the MSI Gaming Intelligence app fails to detect it. In the Device Manager, I notice a new HID device marked with a yellow icon, and the window constantly refreshes. I'm running Windows 11. I also tried connecting via USB-C, which presented the same issue. I changed the KVM settings to upstream, but when trying to connect to my work laptop, the driver was installed properly there yet installation is blocked. No other PC is available for testing. Anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this?
The USB A to B cable is designed solely for connecting your monitor to other devices. Plugging the A to B cable into your PC, then the monitor, and finally inserting a USB device into the monitor’s ports allows data to flow between the monitor and the computer. It’s typically reserved for simple USB pass-through functions rather than any advanced usage.
Sure, happy to help. You can use the KVM switch while updating the monitor firmware using the MSI app.
