Hey everyone, I'm just getting into this because of the GPU rush. With so many motherboards on eBay at good prices, I'm thinking about picking up a few for future builds or upgrades. I'd love some thoughts on whether Strix or Aorus did the 500 series AMD socket boards better—no need to worry about RGB or appearance, just focus on build quality, features, and reliability.
They are both decent, perhaps focusing on the port they use helps clarify the differences.
I understand they are both strong choices, each has a nice appearance, so I'm focusing on gathering real user insights about their performance in everyday situations.
I recently purchased the Aorus Ultra. The manual, support, and accessories seem quite minimal—you’ll need to upgrade the BIOS right away. Because of the AMD USB2 problems, I should verify the supported RAM type; it looks like the quality is limited. Next time I’ll consider MSI or ASUS instead.
