Hey everyone, I just had a pretty cool experience after finally beating those scalpers and getting my 5600X. I paired it with an Aorus B550 Pro AC right away—surprise! After a quick hiccup with Windows, it booted up smoothly. I updated the BIOS just to be safe, and everything was fine. But about two days later, when I tried to start my PC, I noticed video, mouse, and keyboard were unresponsive. The screen didn’t show anything at all. Looking closer, the VGA diagnostic light stayed lit. I tried reseating the graphics card, rebooting a few times, but it worked again for about a week. Then the red VGA light came back up, but I couldn’t get it to function properly.

I tested another older graphics card and got the same problem. When I used my current card on an older system, it worked perfectly. I even tried reseating RAM and the CPU, but nothing changed. Eventually, I returned the motherboard and waited about three weeks for a new B550 Pro AC (Rev 1.1). The issue started right away again—same thing, same light, same trouble.

I went through a lot of fixes: flashing BIOS, clearing CMOS, swapping PCI slots, even using the blind Q-Flash method. Still, it wouldn’t post. I’m starting to think this might be a recurring problem with Gigabyte boards—something I’ve seen on Reddit before, and often no fix seems to work. Plus, the return date was already passed for Amazon.

What’s odd is that it worked once before, but now it’s happening every time. I’m worried it could be my CPU, especially since it’s been a while since I got a new one in 2021, and Amazon says returns are closed. I’m hoping someone else has faced this too and knows what to do. Thanks for your help!

You're experiencing the same issue with your new motherboard, despite receiving it recently. It seems the LEDs on the back panel are turning orange when the system powers on. By using a USB thumb drive in the white port and pressing the Q-Flash button, the orange lights stop. This suggests a possible power or boot configuration problem.
