I was considering an upgrade to a second-generation Ryzen processor and motherboard. I’m torn between the GIGABYTE B450 and the AORUS PRO WIFI or the MSI B450I GAMING PLUS AC for my Ryzen 7 2700X. Both are the only options available for a B450i board. The VRM details on both caught my attention—MSI has a 6+2 configuration while Aorus offers 4+2. I was looking at the Aorus B450i but found concerns about overheating on Reddit. MSI’s reviews mention poor Wi-Fi and audio quality, which is a big deal for me since I rely heavily on Wi-Fi daily. For my Ryzen 7 2700X, I’d stick to stock settings right now because I’m new to overclocking and plan to use a Corsair H80i v2 cooler. I’m also thinking about swapping to a Ryzen 3700X later if it becomes available. Overall, the Wi-Fi aspect is crucial for my studies, so I need reliable performance there.
