my aoc g2490vx faced problems with a cold circuit—only 75hz on the monitor. I resolved it, but soon after resoldering, it would briefly display on the desktop for 30 seconds, then shut down and never restart again. I tested three different power cables and connected them to another monitor, which worked. Plugging it directly into the wall (not through a surge protector) helped, and I double-checked all connections. I also noticed power was passing through because I forgot to unplug it earlier, which caused a shock—this was painful. I’ve replaced the power supply, but there are no visible burn marks.
