Recently my AOC CU34G2X appeared as a nv-failsafe when connected through a DP cable. It functions well over HDMI at 3440x1440 with 100Hz. However, using the DP cable only yields a 640x480 resolution at 60Hz. I’ve reinstalled NVIDIA drivers via DDU, updated the monitor firmware, tried older drivers, and tested various DP cables—all worked fine on my Samsung Odyssey G5 32. While using the monitor with a DP cable, I tested it with EDWriter but the EDID couldn’t be read. With HDMI, everything worked perfectly. I attempted to set a custom resolution of 3440x1440 at 144Hz through the NVIDIA control panel, but it failed to save and the game ran at 640x480 instead. It seems there might be an issue with the DP ports on my monitor. I’ve already reached out to NVIDIA, who couldn’t assist.
