hello, my friend got a dell optiplex 700 model and wanted to reset it. we did it and it worked for a day, then it started showing a blue screen. after that, it would freeze and restart with a black screen and a blinking underscore in the top left corner. i tried different hard drives and cleared the cmos, but nothing seems to work. i’ve installed windows many times before, but it still doesn’t boot properly. it’s just an i5 with 16 gigs of ram and a gt1030 chipset. what could I be doing wrong?

Your device uses a specific blinking or beeping pattern to indicate its status. Visit Dell's website for the exact model to understand the problem.

Confirmed, I managed to get it working. Just swapped SATA for ATX instead of AHCI in the BIOS.
