It depends on the game's settings. If it doesn't have native Dual Shock support, it won't show the correct textures. Games built for Dual Shock will handle it automatically and display the right icons.

Occasionally some games let you adjust prompts individually, but the straightforward reply is no. It would be simpler to re-label the physical buttons.

Xbox controllers are built for Windows games, so they don't work. Prompts generally switch between controllers and keyboards, altering only within those sets.
