Hey there, gaming buddy! It sounds like you're in a bit of a pickle. You're searching for a fresh MMO that's not too old-school or too flashy. You didn't like Guild Wars 2's pace, and you're tired of the usual free2play stuff like LastChaos. You're also not into World of Tanks anymore, and you're not sure what you want exactly. You're hoping for something new that offers good social interaction and lots of content to keep things exciting. I checked out The Elder Scrolls: Online, but it doesn't quite match your vibe. No need for MOBAs either! Got any suggestions?

You could probably check out War Thunder. Also a free to play game like WoT, but it's has planes instead of tanks (They also have tanks, tho). It's a pretty-looking game, that plays fairly well. With A LOT of room to improve yourself within the game.

I've tried Tera and found it quite disappointing. WarThunder isn't appealing to me, and I've noticed ArcheAge has a more positive vibe. Many players have expressed concerns about the community and its pay2win aspects.

Defiance? I'm not sure if it still has a community. If you wait until tomorrow, I might be able to reinstall and play it again. I've given up on MMO games, even though I try to enjoy them—I can't remember any that are really impressive. Probably because they have to simplify for many players. From what I recall, it was one of the more visually appealing ones, but I don't think there are any MMO games that are truly stunning. They likely need to balance quality with player numbers. EDIT: Downloading now should take about 19MB/s.

Try FF XIV:A Realm Reborn. It's just awesome, you might wanna check it out. If you're ready to pay on a monthly basis that is.
