In Archeage Beta currently – it’s fine, seems like the tutorial is missing and there’s a lot to figure out on your own. Also, the community is surprisingly blunt. However, it remains in closed beta and still fun to play. P.S. I spent half an hour hunting through the options menu. The chat controls are really clunky. Dragon's Nest stands out as one of the MMO games where you don’t need to right-click to win, which is pretty much skill-based even in PvE. The endgame is top-notch. For newcomers, reaching the cap feels like a long grind. Extremely so.

Minecraft feels like around 27 dollars right now. That seems high when the money changes. I guess I didn’t understand it fully. Also, I haven’t seen anyone run a Minecraft giveaway before.

The main point people often overlook is the cost of winning in this game. I spend a lot of time playing free-to-play titles, and many are actually paid-to-win (P2W). For instance, WOT on paper is free to play, but you can’t use IS tanks or earn money for maintenance. You have to go lower to farm with KV tanks, spending about 90% of your time farming and only 10% enjoying the game. Ignoring gold ammo, Planetside 2 is free, yet it takes around 400 hours of farming to buy a rifle for all classes. In theory, that’s not P2W, but do you really need to farm constantly? Right now I’m searching for an engaging MMO. I’m currently playing War Thunder Ground Forces (though it’s not technically an MMO), but if you look at its business model, it seems like most games struggle: non-premium players often don’t have a good experience. LOL, DOTA2, Torbash, Track Mania, Auto Club Revolution are all free-to-play with enjoyable gameplay without premium perks. But none of them qualify as true MMOs. One thing to note: I’m okay with paying like I would for premium editions if I enjoy the game, but it’s unfair to pay each month for a game that feels outdated and not fair for everyone. Not me. If you’re into MMO-style games, check out their business models—some work well for regular players. Problem with Archage: 4:20. I have access to Archage but gave up early. And one more thing: these business models keep changing frequently. Sure, developers need compensation, but I still prefer playing for free.

MMO refers to large-scale experiences with hundreds or thousands of players simultaneously. RPG simply describes a role-playing game featuring numerous participants at once.
