I use Kaspersky Total Security regularly. It's affordable and effective. I recently attempted to test its strength by running malware on my office hard drive. The attempt failed because as soon as the drive was connected, Kaspersky became aggressive, demanding a full scan and instructing me to shut down the system and remove the drive. After removing it, I restarted the computer, which booted up smoothly and completed another scan to verify security. This saved me a lot of effort, especially since I had just installed a fresh Windows version and didn't want to repeat the process.
Malwarebytes performs adequately. It previously focused on zero-day threats that standard antivirus software might overlook, making it less reliable for newer viruses. Don't overly trust it since it rarely addresses malware older than a couple of years.
Avast focuses mainly on basic issues, while Malwarebytes detects many more dangers. It also identifies trackers and other advanced threats.
