ANTHEM... Is It Worth It?
It's not too bad, it's a decent game for passing the time. I enjoy flying in an Iron Man suit and battling enemies. However, there are many bugs and matchmaking problems, frame rate issues for some users, and the leveling system feels quite basic. If I had spent over $40, I would be really disappointed since the developers recently claimed it's still in early access. I have an Origin Access Premiere account and have been using it for a while, so I didn't pay the full price. I get all new Origin games for $13 a month and can cancel anytime, which means I don't have to worry about preorders or anything when a game is released on Origin. If I don't like it, I just stop playing. I mean, if you paid more than $60 and preordered the game but haven't played it for months, it would be a waste. It's not that you're being asked to decide—you already own it, so why not try it out?
I think it’s time to try it out, at least... God damn it! Why can’t developers create full games before release anymore? First Fallout 76 and now this... I remember the Legion of Dawn edition cost around $60 or more.
I received this game with Access Premier and still feel taken for granted.
I haven’t finished the entire content yet, and they still release expansion called "act" for free, adding 1 or 2 dozen hours of extra material. I play a couple of hours every other week and make progress. I don’t want to reach the end too quickly. I’m not able to run at maximum difficulty yet, but I’m getting there. I think before my last session I was around 83-84 hours in, so I should have 87-88 hours now. I just wish there were more special events available in free play mode.
