DS Prep 2 is available for $6. I was thinking about getting DS III but ran into issues with credit card charges and adult topics. The D Souls 1 port to PC didn’t go well, and I’m hoping for some guidance.

Expected port issues after modification are common. See the PCGaming Wiki guide for Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition.

You can resolve the port using several mods. That's what I understand. I'm currently focused on DS3.

Hey everyone! I figured the update would be tougher to implement. Feeling crushed by the game and wishing I could do better!

I believe it's not that bad. I spent around 80 hours working with just dsfix and an HD mod.

It matches what you expect. Keep in mind that exceeding 30 FPS triggers a physics issue where sliding down ladders (holding B) can cause you to pass through the ladder and fall into the level's design, potentially leading to your demise. If you remain calm and descend ladders gradually, you should avoid this problem.
