Hey, I’m dealing with some problems in Black Desert Online. Over time I’ve noticed stuttering and inconsistent frame rates ranging from 30 to 120 FPS. When I set the FPS to 60 it still fluctuates wildly, sometimes jumping up to 120 and other times down to 10. This seems linked to my Ryzen 5 3600 processor and the bottleneck it creates. The game isn’t using its threads efficiently—sometimes only a few cores are active while others sit idle. I’m thinking about splitting rendering tasks between the game and UI, but I’m not sure if that would help. I’d rather avoid using Processor Lasso for this fix, as I feel uneasy about it. Do you know of any free alternatives that could work without overclocking my CPU? My cooler is getting too hot, reaching 85–95°C.

You can also adjust the affinity in Task Manager without needing any additional programs.

Affinity should be refreshed upon restarting the game. That's why tools like Process Lasso are useful (they're not snake oil at all—I've used them for years).
