In short, my older kids use my older laptops—an Alienware 1060 and an ASUS 870M. They’re having trouble with some games, so they occasionally borrow my laptop to play more demanding titles. I own an Alienware 2060. I mostly still play on my desktop, a 970GTX from 11 years ago.

I’m thinking about buying affordable laptops during Black Friday and Christmas sales. I want something budget-friendly, around $500 to $700 for a RTX 2050 or a bit more for a RTX 3050. I’d like to get two of these to cover both of them. These models are definitely better than the 870M and 1060. Any recommendations on which one is better? Thanks!

I would examine something with at least an RTX4060 and finish.

Great idea, I hope the costs will decrease slightly.

I received the Gigabyte product.
GIGABYTE - 15.6" 144Hz Gaming Laptop FHD - Intel i7-12650H with 16GB RAM - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 - 512GB SSD - Black for $750 with two years of protection each.
Price per laptop was $1075.
Interesting, I built a full desktop on Newegg and it came out to $1457, including monitor and keyboard/mouse.
I also purchased 2TBX2 for an extra $150, which I plan to install later as the second drive.
