I've been through GTA all week and I keep facing this issue of random minimizations. It happens without any clear cause and can be frustrating, sometimes causing crashes or affecting gameplay.

It occurs frequently and appears in various games too. It might be a malware program or a PUP that reduces game performance and other applications.

Occurs exclusively within GTA. Happens roughly once per hour—possibly every two hours—or it might occur consecutively twice. It’s truly unpredictable.

full-screen titles often hide pop-ups such as skype alerts or updates. Besides that, using a borderless windowed mode might improve the experience.

I encounter a comparable problem whenever background elements refresh.

Can't handle that setup. I'm using an ultra-wide monitor and have been playing at 1920x1080p since GTA consumes a lot of GPU power and it's third-person. The extra field of view doesn't really help much in third person. Is there a solution or fix for this?

I haven't come across anything, I typically end the program.

I haven’t seen any programs appear, but I noticed the same noise a few times when checking for USB devices. It might be Windows handling something, though I’m not sure. I don’t think there’s malware since I rarely browse the internet and stick to safe sites. Also, the malware bytes plus average are low.

It might be a USB port reattaching, which can help speed things up. If you have no USB devices connected and the issue persists, the problem could lie with your internal SATA drives.
