I dislike Realtek audios. My motherboard audio keeps cracking, both on the front and rear panels. Changing the settings helped temporarily, but it returns after about 30 seconds. I've tried reinstalling the driver from both MSI and Realtek, switched to XMP instead of manual overclocking, and run DISM Restore and SFC. The audio header stays secure and was re-seated several times. I also faced this problem with my previous S2H board, and reinstalling fixed it during a coincidental Windows update. I don’t want to wait for the next Windows feature update before my audio works properly.

Obtain an external DAC. Eliminate crackling.

I appreciate the humor, but I’m not in a position to spend that much right now.
