Hello, I'm curious about the Horizon Forbidden West update. It seems like it builds on the original Horizon experience, but now it's only available on PS5. My PC, which cost around $1840 USD, can't get it on Steam anymore. This is frustrating because I really want to finish the game. Anyone else feeling upset about this situation?

Console exclusives have existed for a while. When Zero Dawn launched, it was also an exclusive release. You might need to wait a bit longer before Forbidden West hits PC. The main reason for the exclusivity is that Sony owns the publisher and they aim to boost sales of their hardware.

It's common to notice the same pattern with Rockstar titles—GTA and Read Dead tend to launch first on consoles before moving to PC. Horizon Zero Dawn was available only on PS4 for three years until it became accessible on PC. If you're interested in Forbidden West, consider patience or purchasing a PS5.

It's understood that Nintendo primarily develops their titles for standard PCs, though a few exceptions apply.

You're asking about the connection between high-end gaming PCs and exclusive console titles. Essentially, many first-party games are only available on specific consoles, which keeps their value and appeal. These exclusives often drive demand, making them rare and valuable. While some PCs can run certain games, it's usually limited to a particular platform, similar to how HZD games were released for a while before moving elsewhere.

It wouldn't make sense to try it since the 60 fps setting seems terrible on a 4K display. They probably boosted the clarity filter and skipped using any AA.
