I own a 1tb NVMe SSD that I installed right after building the PC; it's currently the sole storage device. A new 1tb NVMe SSD has been added to M2_2, but my system struggles to launch Windows smoothly. Once booted, it becomes unresponsive, freezing or restarting frequently. I've confirmed my BIOS is up to date. If Windows starts but lags with high latency, it eventually crashes. What might be causing this issue?

Have you considered swapping the drive? I faced a boot problem during installation since the highest M.2 unit wasn’t seated properly. Taking it out and reinserting it completely resolved the issue.

I verified the installation was correct and switched it to m2_3, but the result remained unchanged.
