Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my PC after installing FarCry 5 for my girlfriend. It seems like performance has dropped significantly once she starts playing games. The motherboard is quite old—around the 8700k at 5GHz—but it has a decent 2080ti chipset and a custom water cooling setup. Normally, temperatures stay under 60°C during normal gaming, though I did notice the 'Hot Spot' reading reached 109°C. After some checks, I found that when the GPU's Core Load went above about 70%, its Effective Core Clock dropped from around 1350MHz to 300MHz. All other clock speeds seem unchanged. I'm planning a deep clean, reseat the GPU, and reapply thermal paste, but I wanted to post this here first to see if it matches what others are experiencing. Let me know your thoughts!
