The unusual thing happening with my internet is that its speed has increased significantly. I’m still paying the same rate, but now I’m getting much faster downloads. What might have triggered this change? It’s free, so I wonder if something is affecting it. Could be a glitch or a temporary issue. I’ll keep an eye on it.

They also saw it, using the spectrum they increased the plan in certain spots without cost. In my situation, it went from 100 to 200 MBS.

I also received several free speed boosts over time as networks and plans evolved. It’s likely I didn’t switch my plan from 10 or 20Mbps to 200Mbps, and then changed ISP. In fact, I once downgraded because the service was fast enough that the cost savings mattered more than the higher speed.

Their provider could have enhanced their network.

I’m sure Comcast has been tweaking its speed options. For instance, Gigabit has jumped from 980 Mbps to around 1.2 Gbps. Your ISP might have offered you a free upgrade, but keep an eye on potential price changes later.
