I assembled a new gaming setup using vintage components and a refurbished motherboard. Initially, the system didn’t respond at all. After replacing the CMOS battery, it started but still showed no output. I tested both discrete and integrated graphics, but nothing worked. Switching to a reliable GPU resolved the issue, then changing the processor confirmed stability. When I reinstalled the 4460 CPU, it functioned perfectly. The 950 used GPU seemed unlikely to cause damage, given the board’s good performance. Could it be that the GPU affected the CPU? It’s hard to say, but that’s the most probable explanation. Have others experienced CPUs failing in this way?

This Corsair CV550 appears to be functioning properly, though it’s not performing optimally. The unexpected shutdown raises concerns about potential damage to other components. Despite my experience in PC assembly, this situation is unusual for me.
