I was searching for a solution to replicate the AstroPad experience on Windows, especially for laptops. I experimented with older Windows machines connected to desktops, using various remote methods and apps, but results were inconsistent—especially with pen pressure. I also tried Android tablets paired with Windows setups, relying on tools like Avatron’s Air Stylus, which often had issues. Now I’m exploring if there are reliable Windows alternatives that work well without replacing my Wacom tablet. The AstroPad link provided shows it can turn an iPad into a drawing tablet for Macs.

You're looking for drawing tools that support pressure sensitivity on Wacom tablets. Make sure the newest Wacom drivers are installed. Some popular options include GIMP, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sai, and a PS alternative for drawing. I get it now—thanks for clarifying!

Surface Pro 3 has a few possibilities, though most aren't effective.

It's fine. For a long time I was searching for something lighter. At home I rely on my Intuos Pro Medium. In reality, it's too bulky to take around all the time.

I understand. After many searches, I finally got a Surface Pro 1 last fall (it was the best balance, couldn't justify the price of the SP3), but there are moments when I require more performance or longer battery life than it offers. That's when my other laptop and tablet step in.

The Pro3 offers improved styles and solid hardware enhancements. However, that's it.

I prefer the Wacom stylus because I already own many pens from other compatible devices, and I’m not sure if most of the programs I use are fully updated for N-Trig technology. The last check showed some issues with certain software.

Wacom produces tablets compatible with their own pens, yes. That’s how they ensure seamless performance.

They created it, though it comes with a high price tag and resembles a more creative Surface Pro version.
