hi everyone! so, a tiny bit of background: i have a 3050, an i5 12400f and 16 GBs of GDDR5 RAM. i was playing Doom Eternal TAG2 today and the game usually gives me a consistent 60 FPS reading with ray tracing and max graphics. today though, i booted the game while Raid Shadow Legends was running in the background and so i started getting about 30 FPS with some stutters. not wanting to close RSL because I was farming resources, i just dropped everything down to low, which skyrocketed the performance up to a buttery smooth 140 FPS. after a while, I turned my PC off and went on with my day. when I went to boot the game again tonight, I realized everything was still on low and so I went inside the menu, turned the ray tracing on again and brought the quality back to ultra-nightmare, but the performance didn't drop. I'm still playing at 140 FPS despite the settings being maxed out. i doubt there's a mistake in the readings because the game does feel as smooth as it felt when I dropped the graphics. I also double-checked the settings. I mean, I'm obviously not complaining, but I'm curious: how could this happen?

The thought of a chubby neckbeard lounging in a gaming chair, watching me play Doom Eternal while saying something absurd sounds hilarious to me.
