an extremely puzzling issue
I'm experiencing an issue where my wired network performance drops significantly to around 20 Mbps when using Ethernet, whereas it reaches up to one gigabit on my laptop. I switch cables frequently between my laptop and the network device. I've tested file transfers at one gigabit speed on my laptop, confirming the cable works, but the PC still reports only 20 Mbps. My ROG X570 gaming motherboard is functioning normally. Are there any drivers that could improve this situation?
It runs at 20mbps when operating locally, but only for web-bound traffic.
Clarify the difference between megabits and megabytes, as well as Mbps and MB/s. It seems these terms are often mixed up.
My computer sends 20 units to another device, while my laptop receives only 1 gigabyte to the same device.
