I purchased a new 3900XT roughly two weeks ago. When I first turned it on, I noticed it was slow to open and lagging. After running the CPU-Z benchmark, my multithread count was around 3k instead of the usual 8k. Restarting the PC resolved the issue. I’m still curious about what caused this since I’m really focused on keeping the system in good shape.

Set up HWInfo64 for easier temperature checks. Share your system details so we know what cooling is available.

I verified the readings and everything was normal during this event. My cooler is a DeepCool Assassin III with B550-Rog Strix mobile 16GB RAM Trident, 2x8GB, running at 2955/980Ti GPU (notices fans stopped yesterday). The Silverstone 850 Gold PSU is working properly.

It might be a strange problem where the CPU runs at 1GHz or slower. I experienced this with my 3700X—restarting resolved it and it didn’t happen again.
