Curious about trying it out—it seems really appealing! Has anyone else played it? It’s not getting as much attention as the "Counter Strike" hype. For those unfamiliar, the title refers to: Counter Strike Online 2.

I haven't come across it before. A quick search suggested it might be a scam pretending to capitalize on another game's popularity. Still, it seems like most folks would prefer the genuine version, even if it's real.

I haven't come across CSO2 before. It seems a bit suspicious, and I'm not sure why I'd be interested in trying it.

Absolutely, it’s gaining traction in Asia and remains available since 2013. It’s interesting how a franchise can thrive locally without becoming widely known elsewhere. There might be factors beyond its original status that influence its global reach.

It seems similar to a mobile game. I also find it annoying that you have to install a VPN before playing. The site you mentioned has some videos warning about downloading due to malware risks, and the comments often mention people getting infected while trying to access the game.

It appears the interface looks like it's designed for a Chinese audience, based on their UI documentation.

It's clear they're not genuine, at least from what they say. The warning about not being an official representative adds to the doubt...

Absolutely, I saw that too. I believe the screenshot I shared might be fake, but the game itself is real—possibly just for certain regions like Asia. That’s why using a VPN could be helpful.

The assertion might still be misleading. Simply attaching logos and stating endorsement by Valve doesn’t validate anything. Trust would only come if the claim appears on an official Valve site. Unless the servers are restricted to Asian IPs, a VPN shouldn’t be necessary. If they’re blocking international access, there’s likely a purpose behind it.

I wonder whether the server locations avoid adhering to trademark or intellectual property regulations, which might mean they aren’t legally bound even if users are from another country. If so, it’s technically permissible but raises ethical concerns.
