Specs: AMD Ryzen 7 5900x3d ASUS GeForce RTX 3080 ROG Strix 12GB OC Corsair HZ750i 750w 80+ platinum PSU Issue: during gameplay most CPU fans increase when temp goes above 70°C Bonus issue: one fan runs slower than others. Steps taken to resolve: modified fan curve in BIOS (may need further check) Actions pending: 1. Stock paste on the AIO pump heatsink could be repaste with Noctua or Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut. 2. Verify CPU chipset drivers are current. Running Windows 11 64-bit ASUS TUF b450-Plus Gaming with BIOS version 3802; Chrome closed isn't helping, but using Chrome on a second monitor occasionally does.

Looks like fan curve problems might be the cause for your concern. Regarding the slower fan, are all of them connected to the same header or different ones? I experienced similar issues when switching a case fan header for the CPU, affecting its RPM differently. Temperatures could also be the issue—remounting might help if you suspect that. I’m not entirely confident about the 5800x3D being a hot chip, though.

Thanks for your feedback. I've adjusted the fan curves and may need to recheck. It seems I might have misused a 3x Y-splitter connected to the CPU fan header beside the DIMM slots. Your reasoning is sound. Could one of the three-pin connectors be loose? I'll verify. I'm confident the processor is performing well, with temperatures staying under 76°C and GPU usage consistently in the high 90s. Usage is minimal in The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, and GPU temps remain comfortably below 90°C. I'll resend the results if I notice improved readings.
