Considering whether the upgrade to AM5 is beneficial or keeping the current Intel 12th-gen setup makes sense depends on your future needs. Your current configuration looks solid, but keep in mind how quickly technology evolves.

It varies by GPU; for gaming, a GPU matters, but if you're limited by your GPU, a CPU upgrade won't help much. For content creation or general use, it would notice a better performance with a 13600k.

Avoid the lower-end options; opt for a 13600K and Z690 setup or even a B660 with 7600X. The higher-end boards are more costly because of the expensive components and the high DD5 price.

Can't cover the 13,600K. I can go up to $250 max; a 12,600K would stretch the budget.

I would save my funds first and delay upgrades for a few months, even setting aside extra money for a larger budget. AMD is expected to launch 7xx0X3D chips in Q1 2023; if they perform well like the 5600X3D, Intel might lower prices on the 13th generation.

You won't find a 7600X available either, so why bother?

They’re both poor choices. Consider a 13600k instead.
