Hello, your setup includes a Ryzen 5 3600 with AMD Ryzen 2 1600, Intel Core i5-13600K, and other components. You mentioned experiencing random freezes during idle after disabling certain BIOS controls, while the Core Performance Boost works normally. You're concerned about potential issues with your old PSU and whether an upgrade is necessary.

I might go for a good new power supply unit.

Thank you for the suggestion. I've placed an order for Antec EarthWatts Gold Pro 80 Plus Gold 650W. I'll review it once the new PSU arrives.

Hi, I understand the same problem you're facing with your PC. Have you found a way to resolve it? Here are your details:

- CPU: Ryzen 2600X
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H
- RAM: Crucial Ballistix 2666mhz (XMP)
- GPU: Sapphire RX 480 8GB nitro
- Storage: M.2 NVMe SSD (OS); Samsung 850 for games; Seagate 1TB HDD
- PSU: Corsair RM550
- OS: Windows 10 Pro

What I've tried: Updated drivers, BIOS and chipset updates. Power plan set to Balanced with USB and PCIe power savings off. PSU set to Typical Current Idle in BIOS. Ran sfc /scannow and other diagnostics. The issue appears only under light load—like browsing or idle for a few hours. Sometimes it happens when I force shut down the PC, causing the screen to freeze while keyboard/mouse are active. I don’t want to reduce any performance boosts or overclocking.
