AMD Ryzen 1600 Overclocking
AMD Ryzen 1600 Overclocking
I'm trying to boost the performance of my AMD Ryzen 5 1600 on an Asus Prime B350M-E motherboard. I'm just starting with overclocking and want to reach around 4.1Ghz. I have a Corsair H60 liquid cooler installed, which helps prevent overheating. Any guidance or a tutorial video would be really useful. Thanks! 😀
I attempted to use those articles, but they only slow down my PC while keeping the speed at 1.35Ghz and the base at 4.1Ghz.
Each chip increases speed differently, meaning reaching 4.1ghz might not be possible even with ideal cooling and proper voltage because of limits in the power supply. You should adjust overclocking settings in the BIOS or AMD Ryzen Master. If boosting doesn't begin at 4 or 4.1, start from the boost clock at 3.7 and gradually increase by 100MHz. After each adjustment, run Prime95 with small FFTs for at least half an hour to ensure stability. Any crashes require raising voltage in steps of 0.05V, but keep it below 1.4V.
Ya 4.1 is definitely a stretch. It's impossible, right? But running it at that clock speed and keeping it stable all the time would be a huge challenge. I run mine at 3.8 and it works perfectly, so why would I go up to 4.1? I actually use Ryzen Master, because when I tried to open PUBG in BIOS it would crash, so I had to make that change to get it to function properly.
