AMD per-core OC?
AMD per-core OC?
So, I've got a 3900XT. I've been using PBO for the majority of the time, which is fine, but I'm curious if there is any potential left on the table, so to speak, when it comes to single core performance. I was watching a guide on Ryzen Master, and the video host basically says 'lock all cores together and start putting in bigger numbers until it's not stable.' Why not set everything to something reasonable, like 4.1 ghz, then pick the best cores and gradually boost the clock on those alone up to something higher? I'd like to get better single core performance, while not sacrificing multi-core performance too much, and this would be a logical opportunity to do so.
This resource explains how CTR hybrid OC functions similarly. It links to a page about tuning for Ryzen 2-0 hybrid OC with maximum performance and stability.
