AMD OC paired with OverDrive results in severe tearing issues
Hi!
I tried overclocking for the first time yesterday and used the only program with that feature on my system, AMD Overdrive in Radeon settings. The issue is that even a small increase in memory clock speeds—just 5 mhz—causes severe tearing. It’s hard to see what’s happening on the screen; everything jumps around, random colors appear across the display, and once I hit the "Default settings" button, things stabilize. I’ve restarted my computer several times. Any suggestions?
What card do you have? The current clock speeds and memory frequency are as follows.
I own an AMD Radeon HD 7700 (Asus rx 250x 1gb). It's far from a high-performance card. However, after overclocking it a year ago, everything functioned properly until a recent update triggered improvements. My current GPU clock is 1000mhz and the memory is 1125mhz at default speeds.
What card do you have? What are the present clock speeds and memory frequency?
