AMD boards don’t require the BIOS to be updated for Zen 4 chips. Since you’re using a newer processor like the 6700K, you won’t need to flash the BIOS.

It's Zen 3. Zen 4 doesn't exist yet. You need a B550 or X570, but probably B550 is good enough. There's no guarantee no matter what that the board won't need a BIOS update. The odds are it won't at this point, but getting one that does is still possible. The best thing to do is make sure the board has flashback. That will allow you to update the BIOS without a CPU installed at all. But, worse case scenario, you can contact AMD and they will mail you a CPU you can use to do the update.
