AMD issues plus Asus mistakes – a frustrated speech / asking for support
I followed several tutorials in an attempt to resolve the problem. My biggest challenge seems to be making RAID function properly for dual booting with Linux. After a few days, I figured it wouldn't work with WSL. Once I can run Linux directly, things should improve.
Avoid the AMD card; Nvidia is dominating the AI market. Consider installing a $20 256GB SATA SSD for Linux. On most boards, you can pick between NVMe and SATA drives, deciding whether to use RAID or not—so you might leave the NVMe units active but disable SATA ones. Verify your setup; it works on Intel but unclear with AMD. If not, skip RAID entirely, as it doesn’t improve performance with NVMe and often hurts it. For better organization, combine drives into a single volume, keep the boot drive separate (supporting both Windows and Linux), then store the rest in dedicated spaces.
