the graphics card includes an h.264 decoder, so it relies on that instead of the actual processing unit

I favor dxtory or open broadcaster. You can select the h264 encoder available on your GPU as well, at least with Nvidia.

In your earlier discussion, I assumed you were using an AMD GPU. Which card are you running now? I just use it for recording Dota 2 gameplay without any lag.

Currently I have Nvidia, but that’s only temporary for a couple of weeks! I’m searching for AMD software since I’ll be getting R9 280.

Pozdrav Ive been using the Raptr app since i got my 280x a few months back and im really enjoying it. You can record gameplay or use a backlog feature (analog to shadowplay) with up to a 1 miunte capture. I havent used any other software like dxstory so i cant compare it. Never really intended on recording my gameplay but since its literally as simple as clicking an ON button i decided why not. There is a bit of a confusion for me right now because they had an upload feature directly on their site but now they made a completely new site called plays.tv Dont know what to think about that just yet however thats seperate to the actual capture part of your question. Here is a clip i managed to upload in 1080p if you want to see how it looks. http://plays.tv/video/54b15c97e77050d942...user&pos=1
