AMD FX/A6 has trouble starting newer operating systems.
I've encountered similar problems with older AMD components. It seems there might be an issue with the BIOS, a known bug, or something unrelated to AMD itself. I'm focusing on AMD-related fixes since that's what you have available. In Case 1, the AMD FX6350 didn't recognize the motherboard. The installer froze during Windows 10 installation from USB to SSD, and even after trying UEFI/Legacy, GPT/MBR, and IOMMU settings, it still wouldn't boot. Using IDE mode and a legacy boot helped a bit but freezing persisted. On USB, Ubuntu/Manjaro failed to start. The workaround was installing Windows 10 on another machine and transferring the drive. In Case 2, the A4-7400k Asrock A88M-G/3.1 also couldn't boot OPNsense after a hard reset, with all default settings failing. I attempted to install in safe mode and used OPNsense, but it required a hard reset when configuring drives. Manjaro booted after a brief 3-second reset, but I'm still exploring other configurations like no SSD, IDE/RAID/AHCI, IOMMU, or HPET.
