Hey there, friends. This system has been causing me a lot of headaches lately. The latest issue was updating the BIOS, which led to repeated crashes—especially when launching cold-start games. They’d take 10 to 20 minutes to start, then crash right away, and after that they’d happen more often, sometimes within a couple of minutes. I initially thought it was the RAM, but then realized the BIOS update might be the culprit. Here’s what I have:

- Motherboard: MSI B650-P PRO WiFi AMD AM5 ATX
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
- GPU: ASUS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 with dual fans
- RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 Series, 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000
- Storage: Samsung 1TB 990 Pro
- PSU: ASUS TUF Gaming, 750W, 80 Plus Gold ATX
- CMOS: Battery removed for 10 minutes, then reinserted

After resetting, the screen went black. I tried flashing the BIOS again, but it still showed a black screen. Are my troubleshooting steps correct? Or have I triggered bigger problems? I’m still seeing RGB and fans spinning.

For the jumper method, the power supply unit needs to be disconnected and the battery must be connected.

Thank you for the advice. The outcome remains unchanged. For more details, I can explain that it’s partially booting since my custom profile is being loaded onto the Soundblaster X3, though my monitor isn’t picking up a signal. I’ve also tested connecting directly to the motherboard to check if it defaults to internal graphics after the BIOS update.
