It's unlikely 2600 will ever be a solid deal right now—around $120—but the 2600X is a bit more expensive with a better cooler, about $150 for gaming purposes. It depends on the games and settings you prefer, but both options are decent. Good luck!

Only Ryzen works, I'm just curious about the best series for 5,7, or 9.

Have you checked the CPU reviews? They highlight how performance varies with different GPUs in various games.

These Ryzen models offer solid value for around $100 to $130. The 5 series chips provide strong performance at a budget price, while the 7 and 9 lines deliver impressive multi-core capabilities. The Ryzen 1700 and 2700 are excellent choices for demanding tasks and gaming within a reasonable budget. The Ryzen 7 3700X offers better performance than the i9 9900K at a significant discount, and the Ryzen 9 is ideal for heavy workloads with competitive pricing. The 9 3900X and 9 3950X match the i9 9900K in gaming performance but at a much higher cost.

The numbers 5, 7, and 9 refer to various core counts. For Ryzen 3000 models, the optimal setup starts with at least 3600C16 RAM. Speed is more crucial than clock frequency on these processors. In ideal scenarios, you can use Samsung B-die 4200 or 4400 chips downclocked to 3800, with fine-tuned settings and FLCK overclocked to 1900. However, a 3600C16 can reach about 95% of that performance without extensive RAM overclocking. For a more affordable option, 3600C16 delivers solid results without needing major RAM adjustments.

R7 3800x and R9 3950x are considered top choices, offering consistent 4.4GHz all-core overclock at reasonable voltages (around 1.325V). 3800x or 3950x are also viable, often reaching 4.25-4.35GHz at similar power settings.

Standard use for streaming and gaming works well with 3700x, while 3900x provides more power but also gaming capability. On the budget side, 3600 remains a solid choice, delivering around 4.15-4.25GHz all-core with manageable speed increases (about 200mhz). Overall, the best balance comes from R7 3800x or R9 3950x, though other models can be practical depending on your needs.

You're smart and capable in math, but this writing test surprised you. It's okay—your strengths aren't the only thing that matters. You're not alone in this.
