I faced problems with my CPU cooler not working properly, so I chose to remove it, clean it, and then reinstall the thermal paste. I’m using the AMD Wraith RGB cooler that came with my CPU. Once done, I forgot about this tiny middle component that holds the clamp brackets under the fan (sigh). Everything is now functioning correctly. My CPU temperatures are between 42 and 48°C, but I’m not sure if skipping that part was a mistake. It’s bothering me a bit, but I’m not sure if it’s enough to require a full reinstall.

It's similar to a two-minute task. I'd take on it.
