I explored Ryzen Master overclocking and set my 5600 to 4500MHz. Everything seemed normal because only a small boost was applied. But the CPU remained stuck at 4500MHz even during idle. How can I bring it back down to around 3.7 MHz? I’m concerned about potential damage if it stays that high.

The 50MHz won't do much unless you're genuinely concerned; adjust the clock speed back to the default via BIOS.

In reality, clock speeds play a minimal role in the chip's lifespan; temperature is the main concern. If it drops below 95°C, it can last several decades before problems arise. The notion that CPUs simply die is no longer accurate.

You mean that as long as the CPU stays cool, the clock speeds aren't important.
