I have an AX-370 Gaming K5 motherboard with the original BIOS installed. I was just starting out and didn’t update it after first booting, now I’m attempting an update. I visited the Gigabyte website and found the BIOS screen there, which showed some red flags from previous updates. I’m worried about updating to F50a and want to avoid damaging the board. Any advice would be helpful.

Prepare to flash version F31 before proceeding further. Ensure the chipset driver is updated prior to installing any OS if available.

It depends on how long you've used your motherboard. If you've been running it for several years, the chipset driver might already be up to date, but you should check your manufacturer's website or recent update logs to confirm. If not, updating manually is a good idea.
